Rustin Way

The small unincorporated town of Rustin, Tacoma. Up the street from a superfund site that is being paved over to create condos. The smell is…overwhelming. The idea of all that pollution not only in the ground and the water, but also in the air due to all the construction made for a quick photo shoot. I took three pictures before I became too overwhelmed. What’s amazing to me is that we used to cruise this section of road that looked out towards Vashon Island and Commencement Bay when I was  younger…but now when I go there all I can think about it what Asarco did to this once pristine landscape.

Please share, if you like, and comment well.

  1. At what focal length was this taken? It’s INCREDIBLE! Really reminds me of a the video game from the 90′s, I think it was called “Myst”?
